Main Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a welcoming manner when residents are admitted and assisting them to settle in.
- Supporting residents with daily tasks to help them live their best lives.
- Ensuring residents’ needs and wishes are met.
- Providing companionship through conversation and understanding residents’ preferences.
- Encouraging participation in organized activities and creating meaningful moments with team support.
- Providing personal care in collaboration with residents.
- Assisting with eating and drinking, promoting a healthy, balanced diet.
- Completing food and fluid charts and other monitoring records as required.
- Supporting infection control measures, including spill cleanup, hand hygiene, PPE use, and adherence to policies.
- Proper segregation of waste materials.
- Responding promptly to the Nurse Call System.
- Reporting concerns, accidents, or injuries immediately to the nurse in charge.
- Accurately documenting information in residents’ reports and care plans.
- Respecting residents’ possessions and maintaining tidy, presentable bedrooms and communal areas.
- Respecting residents’ dignity and privacy.
- Ensuring confidentiality of residents’ information, including social media use.
- Collaborating with health and social care professionals for holistic care.
- Undertaking additional duties as required.
