Role Overview

The Care Assistant plays a vital role in supporting residents within Orchard homes, ensuring they are cared for with dignity and respect. You will be involved in helping residents participate in meaningful activities and receive personalized support tailored to their needs.

Main Duties

1. Assist residents to maintain independence, providing support such as personal care (washing, dressing, oral care).
2. Be patient and understanding, encouraging participation in leisure activities and supporting outside appointments and outings.
3. Maintain a clean and welcoming environment by making beds, tidying rooms, and assisting with light cleaning.
4. Support meal service, ensuring meals and drinks are presented attractively and support is provided as needed.
5. Comply with all statutory and legal requirements, including health & safety, COSHH, the Care Standards Act, and infection control policies.
