Job Role: Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.

The Healthcare Assistants / Support Worker must have at least 6 months experience in care and be compassionate.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Worker will help with the day-to-day care and are vital members of teams in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

As a Healthcare Assistant and Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff, alongside other Healthcare Assistants.

Your duties may include:

• Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
• Serving food or assisting with eating
• Making and changing beds
• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to ease anxiety
• Assisting patients with mobility
• Helping with toileting needs
• Maintaining tidiness of wards and homes
• Managing supplies and equipment

Your daily tasks may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.

We also supply staff to NHS and private sectors, including roles like Nurse, General Nurse, RGN, NMC, Band 5, Band 6, HCA, Community Nurse, and Specialist Nurse in areas like A&E, Endoscopy, and Theatre.
