Job Role: Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will help and assist the team with daily routines including personal care and feeding.

The Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers must have at least 6 months of experience in care and be compassionate.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers help with day-to-day care in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

As a Healthcare Assistant and Support Worker, you work under the supervision of nursing staff alongside other Healthcare Assistants.

Your duties may include:

• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Assisting patients with mobility
• Helping with toileting needs
• Maintaining a tidy ward or home
• Managing supplies and equipment

Your work may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may train new healthcare assistants.
