Job Role: Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will help and assist the team with daily routines, including personal care and feeding. Candidates must have at least 6 months of care experience and demonstrate compassion.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers will assist with daily patient care in homes, hospitals, or private residences. They play a vital role in hospitals, clinics, and care homes.

Previous care experience and/or qualifications are essential.

As a Healthcare Assistant and Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff alongside other healthcare professionals. Your duties may include:

  • Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
  • Assisting with feeding
  • Making and changing beds
  • Turning bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores
  • Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
  • Helping patients move around
  • Assisting with toileting needs
  • Maintaining a tidy ward or home environment
  • Managing supplies and equipment

Your daily tasks may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients within hospital departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.

We also supply staff to NHS and private sectors, including roles such as Nurse, General Nurse, RGN, NMC registered, Band 5 and 6, HCA, Community Nurse, and specialists in A&E, Endoscopy, and Theatre.
