Job Description:

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to assist the team with daily routines including personal care and feeding. Candidates must have at least 6 months of care experience and demonstrate compassion.

Responsibilities include:

  • Helping patients with washing, showering, dressing
  • Assisting with feeding
  • Making and changing beds
  • Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
  • Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers
  • Helping with toileting and bedpans
  • Maintaining cleanliness of wards and patient homes
  • Managing supplies and equipment

Experience with mobility aids and escorting patients is preferred. Opportunities for training and involvement in induction for new staff are available. The role involves working under supervision of nursing staff and collaborating with other healthcare assistants.
