Job summary

Marton Care Homes is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join the Grosvenor Park team in Darlington. You’ll help residents with daily living, support mobility, and contribute to a warm, dignified living environment where each person is treated as an individual.

We value positivity, reliability, and teamwork, with some evenings and weekend shifts. Prior care experience is welcomed but personality and values are just as important for making a meaningful difference every day.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care setting is a bonus, but personality and values matter.
• Able to work flexibly across some evenings and weekends.
• Warm, approachable and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living activities while maintaining dignity.
• Assist residents with mobility and use of aids as needed.
• Record daily care notes and follow care plans.
• Engage residents in hobbies and social activities in the Home.
• Respond to nurse call system and visitor inquiries promptly.
• Monitor well-being and report concerns to senior staff.
• Keep rooms clean, beds made, and equipment maintained.
