Job summary

Home Instead in Lurgan is seeking Care Professionals to make a real difference by supporting clients to stay independent in their own homes.

As a Care Professional, you will provide non-medical services ranging from personal care and meal preparation to accompanying clients to appointments and offering companionship. No formal experience is required, but caring experience or volunteering is welcome. You will be reliable, respectful and committed to delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• No experience or qualifications required to become a Care Professional.
• Experience in a care setting or interacting with older people is useful.
• A passion for supporting others and delivering outstanding service.
• You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful in daily duties.

Responsibilities

As a Care Professional, you will provide a variety of non-medical services to help them keep independent in their own home.

With no two visits are the same, daily tasks can range from:

• Assisting with personal care, helping your client wash and dress.
• Meal preparation and light house work
• Accompanying your client to appointments
• Companionship

You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a Care Professional. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience. You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others.
