Care Assistant - Leven Beach Care Home, Fife

Our Meallmore team at Leven Beach is ready to warmly welcome you as a Care Assistant within their care home. Located on the promenade of the seaside town of Leven in Fife, Leven Beach enjoys picturesque views across the Firth of Forth, adding to the charm of its location. This purpose-built care home provides high quality, personalised nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia and related conditions.

Our mentorship programme and ongoing learning and development will give you all the support you need to develop your skills and progress in your career, whether as a Senior Care Assistant or a Senior Care Practitioner — the choice is yours!

If you’re not already working as a care assistant, you will be required to register with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council). Meallmore will support you with this process.

Your role as a Meallmore Care Assistant will include:

• Promoting and providing high-quality care and support in accordance with individual care/support plans.
• Creating wellbeing within a caring environment and participating in the general activities of the home.
• Adhering to Meallmore Standards, Policies and Procedures, and National Care Standards.
• Working in line with the SSSC codes of Practice.
• Collaborating with care staff in your department and wider teams.
• Carrying out personal care duties.

Desirable skills:

• Working towards the qualification to meet SSSC registration requirements.
• SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care (as per SSSC guidelines) is desirable.
• Good communication and rapport-building skills.
• Kind, caring nature.
