Job summary

Cera Care is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant in Houghton-le-Spring to join our Community Care team. You will help clients with daily living activities, offer companionship, and support with meals and light housework, under guidance and training provided by the company.

Full-time position with opportunities for development through the Cera Academy, focused on building core skills and meaningful progression in a caring role.

Qualifications

• Must be caring and able to support with daily living tasks.
• Willingness to learn; training provided through Cera Academy.
• Ability to communicate with clients, families and colleagues.
• No formal experience required; enthusiasm and compassion valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care including washing and dressing.
• Support with medications where appropriate as directed.
• Prepare hot meals and help with basic cooking.
• Assist with light domestic tasks and daily routines.
• Provide companionship, reassurance and social engagement to clients.
