Job summary

Superior Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to support a 5-year-old child in Hadley Wood, within the family home. You will provide person-centred care, ensuring safety and well-being, with a focus on one-to-one support and engaging activities.

The role includes day and night shifts, a £20.00 per hour rate, and requires Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy experience, moving/handling competence, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting individuals with Cerebral Palsy.
  • Experience supporting individuals with Epilepsy.
  • Competent in Moving and Handling.
  • Full UK driving licence and confident driver.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Support a young child with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy.
  • Monitor and respond to seizure activity.
  • Assist with personal care and activities of daily living.
  • Provide safe moving and handling support using appropriate equipment.
  • Encourage participation in activities like singing and play.
  • Build a positive relationship with the client and family.
  • Maintain accurate care records and report concerns.

Shift Pattern
  • Days: 08:00-20:00
  • Nights: 20:00-08:00

Competitive pay rate of £20.00 per hour

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Romanian-speaking Care Assistant to support a delightful 5-year-old child in her family home. Our client lives with her parents and two siblings and enjoys singing, music, and engaging with those around her. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide meaningful one-to-one support and make a real difference to a young child’s quality of life.

About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you will provide person-centred care tailored to the client’s individual needs, ensuring her safety, comfort, and wellbeing.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting a young child with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy
  • Monitoring and responding appropriately to seizure activity
  • Assisting with personal care and daily living activities
  • Providing safe moving and handling support using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Encouraging participation in activities she enjoys, including singing and play-based interactions
  • Building a positive relationship with the client and her family
  • Maintaining accurate care records and reporting any concerns
Requirements
  • Experience supporting individuals with Cerebral Palsy
  • Experience supporting individuals with Epilepsy
  • Competent in Moving and Handling
  • Full UK driving licence and confident driver
