Job summary

Helping Hands is hiring a Care Assistant to support people in their own homes across the community. You don’t need prior care experience; full training will be provided and you can start as soon as checks are completed.

The role offers guaranteed hours (20 hours per week with additional hours) and flexible shifts to fit your lifestyle. A driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required.

• Full UK driving licence required with access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility needs, helping customers stay safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that helps customers feel truly cared for.
