Job summary

Welford Healthcare is looking for a compassionate Care Assistant to join our Wellington centre on bank hours. You will support residents with daily activities and social engagement, providing dignity and companionship. Experience isn’t required, as full training and ongoing development are provided.

You’ll work with a friendly team, and weekends may be part of your shifts. We offer a welcoming environment, full inductions, and opportunities to gain qualifications as you progress in your care

Qualifications

• Compassionate and drive to help others.
• Good written and verbal communication and people skills.
• Able to work well in a team.
• Flexibility; able to cover shifts including weekends.
• Good IT skills; comfortable using electronic devices and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Organise and participate in social and recreational activities for residents.
• Assist with residents’ personal care and mealtimes.
• Provide support to maintain residents’ independence.
• Get to know residents and their families to provide the best possible care.
• Maintain accurate records of care delivered.
