Willows Care Home is a friendly, modern nursing home in a residential area of Romford, providing person-centred nursing, dementia, palliative and short-term care. The home combines comprehensive facilities with a warm, homely atmosphere to ensure comfort, dignity and compassionate support for all residents.

Role: Care Assistant
Location: Willows Care Home, 229 London Road, Romford, Essex, RM7 9BQ
Salary: £12.81 to £13.13 per hour, depending on qualifications
Hours: 34.5 hours per week worked over 3 days from 8.00am to 8.00pm, with shifts organised on rota basis which will include weekends and public holidays

In this rewarding role, you’ll work individually and as part of a supportive team to deliver the highest standards of care and companionship to our residents.

What you’ll be doing
  • Checking on residents throughout the day and night to ensure their wellbeing and comfort
  • Providing personal care with kindness and respect, supporting residents with daily activities while encouraging their independence
  • Helping residents maintain their dignity and self-esteem through patient, compassionate care
  • Contributing to care plans by working alongside residents and their families or representatives
  • Supporting residents to take part in wellbeing and social activities both inside and outside the home
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with residents, families, and your team
What you’ll bring
  • A professional, reliable, and flexible approach to your work
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A respectful, courteous, patient, and compassionate manner at all times
  • Ideally, a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
  • The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
