Job Description:

Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and understanding Care Assistant to support a disabled woman in St Pauls, Bristol. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, supporting mental and physical health, and enabling the client to engage in activities that improve her well-being.

About the Client: The client is a passionate individual who cares deeply about the environment and fairness. She enjoys music, creativity, good food, holistic therapies, and outdoor activities. Due to health challenges, she seeks companionship and support to re-engage with her interests and manage her complex health needs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting with eating, drinking, and medication prompts
  • Assisting with meal preparation and household chores
  • Supporting with personal care and hygiene
  • Managing shopping, laundry, and decluttering
  • Attending appointments and advocating as needed
  • Assisting with outdoor activities and dog walking
  • Monitoring health and wellbeing, ensuring safety and comfort

Requirements: Experience with neurodivergence, chronic health conditions, and emotional support is essential. The candidate should understand the importance of minimizing overstimulation and be able to adapt to daily changes based on the client’s health status.

Hours: 15.5 hours per week, with flexibility for scheduling, ideally including Mondays. Occasional additional hours may be required.

Pay rate: £12 per hour on weekdays.

Role requires an Enhanced DBS check.
