Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a Care Assistant to support the provision of care for older adults in a caring environment. The role involves personal care, activities, and assisting with medications according to Care Plans, on a rolling rota including weekend work. Hours are 30 per week, with shifts 7:30am–3:30pm and 2:00pm–10:00pm.

The post requires PVG Scheme checks and SSSC registration within 3 months, plus two references. Fixed-term until 01 May 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to join PVG Scheme or undergo PVG Scheme update check
• You will be required to obtain SSSC registration within 3 months of employment
• Two references, one from current or most recent employer, are required.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the needs and rights of older individuals within a caring environment
• Provide personal care and activities as part of daily care duties
• Assist with medication administration and adherence to Care Plans
