Job Description:

Overview: Female Care Assistant needed for a 27-year-old woman in Shildon with a long-term health condition. The position is part-time, offering up to 16.5 hours per week, at a rate of £12.00 per hour. The role is temporary, with details to be discussed upon interest.

Health Condition: The client suffers from Dysautonomia and PoTS, which affect her nervous system and cause symptoms such as intolerance to standing, fatigue, and sensitivity to environmental and physical factors. She has limited mobility and uses a wheelchair for longer distances. Recent return to work has triggered her symptoms, and she requires support to continue working.

Client’s Interests and Personality: She enjoys outdoor activities, fashion, skincare, charity shopping, and exploring new places. She is independent and prefers to manage her condition with support that respects her independence and positive outlook.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, and hair washing, maintaining dignity and respect.
  2. Prepare meals and drinks to support nutrition and hydration.
  3. Perform domestic chores including cleaning, laundry, and general household tasks.
  4. Assist with mobility, including transferring using a wheelchair.
  5. Provide social support, companionship, and engage in activities like baking, outings, and games.
  6. Support health, safety, and well-being.
