To provide support for a 10-year-old male child with severe learning disabilities and depletion on the 19th Chromosome, which causes learning difficulties and communication problems and affects his development and understanding. He also has poor fine and gross motor control.

Main Duties
We are looking to recruit a Support Worker to enable this child to access social and leisure activities in the local community. Due to his learning disabilities and living in a rural location, it is very difficult for him to engage with other children his age outside of the school environment. It is hoped that a Support Worker can help him safely enjoy some of his favourite activities which include swimming, soft play, role play, trampolining, clip and climb and travelling on buses. He would really love to join in any social groups taking place nearby as there are currently none where he lives, so that he can make new friendships with other children.

Hours 7 hours per week during term time weeks and 10 hours per week during all school holiday weeks. These hours include travelling time from the child’s home address to the activity and the return journey. Flexibility around which days of the week the support takes place and this can be further discussed with interested applicants.

Rate of pay £13.74 per hour. Holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata. Any out-of-pocket expenses will be paid by the employer. ILG PA Offer - Access to Employee Wellbeing Benefits
