Job Description:

Overview: Person in Acklington area with autism requires an enabler to support with 9 hours per week. Hours are flexible, ideally 3 x 3-hour sessions per week, with occasional weekend work, to be discussed at interview.

Requirements:

  • Must like dogs/horses.
  • Driver over 25 with access to a mobility car.
  • Non-smoker.
  • Experience preferred but not essential.

Hours and Pay: 9 hours per week at £13.09 per hour.

Main Duties:

Supporting socialising, community access, visiting places of interest. The client enjoys cinema, shopping, swimming, walking the family dog, and is a member of the National Trust and Alnwick Gardens. Building a trusting, consistent, and patient relationship is essential.

Additional Information:

An Enhanced DBS check is required (employer-funded). Training in Health and Safety, safeguarding, challenging behaviour, first aid, autism/Aspergers will be provided as needed.

Essential PA Guide, Safeguarding Adults/Children, Understanding Challenging Behaviour, First Aid, Autism/Aspergers.

Transportation:

Full UK driving license and ability to drive a Motability-equipped car.

Schedule and Pay:

Flexible schedule with hours mainly in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Pay rate: £13.09/hr.
