Job Description:

Overview: A person in Acklington with autism requires an enabler to support 9 hours per week. Hours are flexible, ideally 3 x 3-hour sessions per week, with occasional weekend work, to be discussed at interview.

Requirements:

  • Must like dogs/horses
  • Driver over 25 with access to a mobility car
  • Non-smoker
  • Experience preferred but not essential

Hours and Pay:

9 hours per week at £13.09 per hour

Main Duties:
  • Supporting socialising and community access
  • Visiting places of interest like cinemas, shopping centers, swimming pools, National Trust, Alnwick Gardens
  • Walking the family dog
  • Building a trusting, patient relationship with the client

Additional Information:

An Enhanced DBS check is required, at the employer’s expense. Training will be provided as needed, including health and safety, safeguarding, challenging behaviour, first aid, autism, and Asperger’s.
