J is a young disabled man seeking a like-minded support worker to help him access the community, with some personal care involved. J enjoys visiting museums, concerts, pantomimes, cinemas, and dining out. He is also interested in playing golf, archery, and wheelchair basketball, as well as attending a Cosplay convention due to his interest in Dr Who.

Main Duties

• Assist with washing and dressing
• Support accessing community and social activities to promote independence

Essential Criteria

• Non-smoker
• Driver with ability to drive a Motability car

Personal Qualities & Attributes

• Responsible, reliable, trustworthy
• Excellent timekeeping
• Previous PA experience is advantageous but not essential
• Good communication and social skills
• Respect for confidentiality and privacy

Location: Patchway, South Gloucestershire

Hours: 8 hours per week, preferably two half-days, with flexibility for full-day trips

Pay: £11.88 per hour

Holiday: 5.6 weeks annually including bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time)

Start Date: ASAP

Additional Information: Employment is contingent upon a DBS check, funded by the employer. Successful applicants will be directly employed by the individual, not WECIL.
