Care Assistant for a Young Boy - Full Time @ £12.21/hr in LS27

We are seeking a caring and reliable care assistant for an 11-year-old boy. The role involves engaging in community activities, exploring open spaces, parks, and quiet areas. Driving is essential, as he can become overwhelmed and stressed on public transport. Responsibilities include managing occasional intimate care needs, supervising meal times, and supporting his daily activities.

Joe is severely autistic, non-verbal, with a global developmental delay, traits of ADHD, and a well-managed metabolic disorder. The ideal candidate should be time-efficient, reliable, and preferably experienced with severe autism. Physical fitness is important as Joe is very active.

The position involves 5 hours per week on Sundays, with potential for additional hours during school holidays, and occasional cover during holidays or sickness.
