Care Assistant for a person F/T@ £13.00/hr in BS16 - FTE - £25.4k - Bristol - BS16


Personal Assistants required to provide full care to a young woman with severe learning difficulties [including Epilepsy] and complex needs at home and in the community. Client is dependent on others for all of her care needs.


PLEASE NOTE: We require only female applicants due to intimate personal care. Exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, and Part 1. Section 7(2) e of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975. Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR), Schedule 9 (Work; Exceptions), Part 1 (Occupational Requirements), of the Equality Act (2010) applies.


REQUIREMENTS

  1. Essential: Previous paid caring experience.
  2. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Willingness to learn and support client with her care needs and emotional support.
  4. Proof of Eligibility to work in the UK.
  5. Non-Smoker.
  6. References and DBS checks will be carried out.

HOURS AVAILABLE and PAY

  1. Monday to Friday 4 pm to 8 pm [20 hrs]
  2. Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 8 pm [22 hrs]
  3. Pension and Annual Leave.
  4. Some cover for other personal annual leave will be required.
  5. £13.00 per hour - Self-employed workers rate - £15.50 per hour.
