Experienced Personal Assistant required aged 25 and over. Valid full UK driving license is essential. Required to work with a 40-year-old male with Cerebral Palsy who uses a wheelchair. The use of a hoist to lift is required.

Duties include showering/general hygiene, cooking, all household cleaning, taking to/from appointments/adult day centres and social events.

Hourly Rate: £12.21/hr. Standard night shift rate for sleeping nights: £70. Paid every 4 weeks. Stockton Borough Council pension is offered. 5.6 weeks holiday entitlement. PA is expected to cover other PA holidays and sickness and can be required at short notice.

PA required to cover 6 shifts (approx. 80 hours) in a 4 week period. A shift is usually a 24-hour period (12pm-12pm).

Typical shift pattern during term time: Week 1 - Wednesday 3pm to Thursday 10am, then Thursday 3pm to Friday 12pm. Week 2 - Saturday 12pm to Sunday 12pm. Week 3 - Wednesday 3pm to Thursday 10am, then Thursday 3pm to Friday 12pm. Week 4 - Saturday 12pm to Sunday 12pm. During non-term time all shifts are 24 hours, including bank holidays, Christmas and New Year.

Successful candidate would be subject to an enhanced DBS check cost to be met by employer.
