Personal carer/PA needed. Hours may vary but would start at approximately 20 hours pw but can be negotiated. Extra hours flexibility will be required for holidays and sickness. Rate of pay is £14.70 per hour. 5.6 weeks of holiday per year.We need someone who can work well in a small team and has flexibility. The person must be outgoing and use their initiative.The person needs to be able to do Personal care to the requirements of the patient. It would also be helpful for the person to be local and available to come at a moment notice in case of sickness. A vehicle would also be useful, especially if the person is willing to use it for shopping and hospital appointments. If the insurance needs to be upgraded to cover work use than the additional cost will be covered as well as petrol. Some duties will require levels of personal care. Cleaning, possibly cooking, time management, initiative, good people skills, working in a small team, flexibility of hours, and trust. This is not a total list and there will be other requirements in line with that of a carer/PA job. The patient/employer is also a local published author and may require help regarding all aspects of his life. This is a very tightly knit team that work together and we need someone who will slot into the already existing structure well.If you think you might be suitable for the job, then please contact me.
