Job summary

Helping Hands is hiring a Care Assistant to support customers to live well in their own homes. No prior care experience required as full training is provided, with emphasis on kindness and reliability.

You’ll join a supportive team, receive paid mileage, flexible shifts, and opportunities for training and progression within the organisation. Start dates are available once checks are completed and you meet Right to Work requirements.

Qualifications

• No experience needed – full training provided.
• Flexible shift patterns available to suit your lifestyle.
• Paid mileage of 35p per mile.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility needs, helping customers stay safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that helps customers feel truly cared for.
