Helping Hands is seeking a Care Assistant to join our team serving Newbury and Marlborough. No previous care experience is required – full training is provided so you can start making a difference from day one. You will support people to live well, stay independent, and feel safe in their own homes.

We offer flexible shifts, guaranteed hours, and paid mileage at 35p per mile. You’ll need a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, along with the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• No previous care experience required; full training provided.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Assist with personal care including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility needs to keep customers safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from shopping to prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that makes customers feel cared for.
