Job summary

Alina Homecare Cambridge is hiring a Care Assistant to provide compassionate home-based care in Bar Hill and surrounding areas. You will play a vital role in supporting clients to maintain independence, dignity and self-worth in their own homes.

Training is provided; no prior experience required initially. You’ll perform companionship, personal care, medication reminders, meal prep, light housekeeping and mobility support while building trusted relationships with clients.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Patience, compassion and a positive attitude are required at all times.
• A responsible, dedicated and flexible approach to work is expected.
• A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are needed for local travel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver companionship to reduce loneliness and provide support.
• Assist with personal care including hygiene tasks.
• Assist with medication reminders and prescription collection.
• Preparing meals for clients and supporting mealtimes.
• Help with housekeeping to maintain a comfortable home environment.
• Support mobility and getting around for clients.
