Be a Care-Giving Day-Maker

We are recruiting a minimum of 3 full-time or 6 part-time Care Assistants to provide care and support to people living in Fawdon (NE3).

If you can make people smile while visiting them in their home, then a Care Assistant with Be Caring could be the right fit for you. No care qualifications needed, just the right values and a can-do attitude.

Pay: £ p/hr (drivers) / £ p/hr (walkers) (paid per shift, including travel time)

Your working hours will align with our shift patterns, including late shifts and alternate weekends:

  • Early Shifts: 7:00am - 3:00pm
  • Late Shift: 3:00pm - 10:00pm

We will agree your working pattern, including:

  • 2-week rota with evenings
  • Fully funded DBS
  • Paid induction training: 1 week classroom, 2 days shadowing, online modules
  • Funded Level 2 and other accredited courses
  • Holiday pay based on hours and service length
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • Optional union membership via GMB
Job Responsibilities:

Induction Training:

No prior care experience needed. We value transferable skills from roles like shop assistants. Training covers:

  • Be Caring values and exceeding expectations
  • Dignity, safeguarding, equality
  • Confidentiality and boundaries
  • Nutrition, medication safety
  • Moving, basic life support, pressure sores
  • Infection control, health and safety
  • Learning Disabilities, mental health, capacity
