Job Opportunity: Care Assistant

Join our dedicated community team at Be Caring and help us make a difference in the Farnley (LS12) area, including Silver Royd Hill. We are recruiting a minimum of 3 full-time or 6 part-time Care Assistants to provide compassionate care and support to local residents.

What We Offer
  • Shift pay structure, encouraging going Above & Beyond in supporting clients to achieve independence and community connections.
  • Aligned working hours with shift patterns, including late shifts and alternate weekends:
  • Early Shifts: 7:00am - 3:00pm
  • Late Shifts: 3:00pm - 10:00pm (finish time dependent on public transport)

We will set your working pattern within a 2-week rota, including evenings as agreed. Benefits include:

  • Paid induction training: 1 week classroom-based, 2 days shadowing, and online modules

Role Responsibilities

  • Connecting people to their communities and local support services
  • Delivering personalised care based on individual choices and preferences
  • Communicating effectively, documenting, reporting, and sharing information appropriately
Induction Training

You will receive comprehensive induction covering:

  • Be Caring values and going Above & Beyond to meet personal outcomes
  • Dignity, respect, safeguarding, and equality
  • Confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Fluids, nutrition, and safe medication administration
  • Moving, positioning, basic life support, and pressure sore prevention
  • Infection control, health and safety
  • Learning Disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health, and capacity
