Are you kind? A people person? Do you love making a difference in people's lives? Then we can offer you the perfect role as a Carer, where you will genuinely make a difference every day. No experience required.
We are recruiting for part-time permanent positions only. This is secure work with good pay, great training, and no previous experience needed.
Applicants must be fully flexible and able to work both 7am–3pm and 3pm–10pm shifts, including alternate weekends.
Extra Care units offer residents their own self-contained living space within a larger building, with access to care staff who are based on site. As a Care Assistant, you will support residents—each with varying needs—to live as independently as possible, following personalised care and support plans.
Every client’s needs are different. You may assist with light housework, help someone get ready for the day, prepare a hot meal, offer companionship, support with medication, or help with washing and dressing. More than anything, our carers become trusted companions—offering encouragement, reassurance and sometimes a much‑needed laugh when life feels tough. Caring isn’t always easy, but many people and their families will be grateful that you were there.
Our benefits include:
Cera makes caring easier with Cera Tech
We’ve brought homecare into the 21st century with technology that streamlines admin, enhances outcomes and allows you to focus on what matters most—caring. Our predictive tools and risk alerts help reduce hospitalisations and falls, enabling you to deliver safer, more effective care.
Key requirements for this role:
We are an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
^In Scotland, all care staff must register with the SSSC and work towards their SVQ2 (funded by Cera; registration fee payable by the employee).
Due to the provision of intimate care, our clients have the right to request a carer of a specific sex. This vacancy is restricted to women only.
