Job summary

Home Instead Senior Care in Bedford is seeking caring individuals to join our team as Care Assistants for evenings and weekends. You will support clients at home with meals, errands, light housework, and personal care, while staying reliable, warm, and empathetic.

No prior experience is required as comprehensive training is provided; a full driving licence and access to a car are essential for travel between clients.

Job description

Care Assistants - Evenings / Weekends - Earn between £15.00 - £16.00 Per Hour

We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team in Bedford as a care professional.

We would love someone to join our team, who is availble to work in the evenings, from 4pm-10pm, the successful candidate will also need to be available to work on alternate weekends.

You do not need previous experience as full training is provided.

However, you do need a full driving licence and access to a car.

The role includes:

• Accompanying clients to appointments and social events.


• Prepare healthy meals and snacks.


• Pick up a prescription, go shopping for essentials, and do other errands.


• Carry out light housework, laundry, or ironing.


• Provide medication reminders.


• Assist clients getting out of bed in the morning or into bed at the end of their day.


• Running a bath or shower and being close by in case they need assistance.


• Assisting with dressing & undressing and personal care if required.


• Above all, be the person who shows friendliness, warmth, and empathy.
