Care Assistant (Evening/Twilight Shifts)

Location: 163 Barnhorn Road, Bexhill-On-Sea, East Sussex, TN39 4QL

At Tunbridge Wells Care Centre, we believe every moment of care matters. As a Care Assistant, you’ll provide compassionate, person-centred support to our residents, helping them live with dignity, independence, and joy.

Role: Care Assistant
Location: 142 Upper Grosvenor Road, Tunbridge Wells, TN1 2ED
Salary: £12.81 - £13.27
Hours: 18–24 hours per week
Shift patterns: Evening shifts: 5pm–11pm, or split shifts: 7am–1pm and 5pm–9pm

Schedule includes weekends and public holidays, on a rota basis.

In this rewarding role, you’ll work individually and as part of a supportive team to deliver the highest standards of care and companionship to our residents.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Checking on residents throughout the day and night to ensure their wellbeing and comfort
  • Providing personal care with kindness and respect, supporting residents with daily activities while encouraging their independence
  • Helping residents maintain their dignity and self-esteem through patient, compassionate care
  • Contributing to care plans by working alongside residents and their families or representatives
  • Supporting residents to take part in wellbeing and social activities both inside and outside the home
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with residents, families, and your team

What you’ll bring:

  • A professional, reliable, and flexible approach to your work
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A respectful, courteous, patient, and compassionate manner at all times
  • Ideally, a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
  • The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
