Job summary

Highgate Care is seeking a warm and compassionate Care Assistant to join The Sycamores in Wakefield. You’ll be part of a small, supportive team focused on person-centred care.

In this permanent, full-time role you’ll assist residents with daily living, promote dignity, and help them maintain independence, comfort and happiness.

Qualifications

• Warm, approachable and positive attitude.
• Previous experience in a care setting is a bonus, but personality and values matter more.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living activities including washing, toileting, dressing and mobility.
• Provide care to maintain residents' comfort, dignity and independence.
• Assist with continence, personal care and assistance during mobility.
• Record daily care and follow care plans and home policies.
• Engage residents in activities and social events to promote well-being.
• Answer nurse calls and respond to visitors and calls promptly.
