Job summary

The Royal British Legion is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant in the Dementia unit. This is a full-time role working 36 hours per week on day shifts, with a rota covering seven days. DBS clearance and legal right to work in the UK are required.

Job description

We’re seeking a compassionate Care Assistant committed to delivering personalised care with empathy, dignity, and genuine kindness to each of our residents.

This Care Assistant role is full time, consisting of 36 hours per week on day shifts. The position requires flexibility to work a rota covering 7 days a week and is located in the Dementia unit.

Please note that we are currently only able to consider applications from candidates who have the legal right to work in the UK. We are unable to sponsor visas at this time.

Key responsibilities of the role:
  • Assist with personal care and daily routines of residents
  • Ensure residents' comfort and dignity at all times
  • Support with mobility, nutrition, and medication as needed
  • Create and maintain a safe and welcoming environment
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals

As a Care Assistant, you will have outstanding people skills, a friendly and positive attitude. We will provide the necessary support and training you need to thrive. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
