Job summary

A respected care charity in Buckler's Park is seeking a Care Assistant to provide support and care to residents while respecting their independence and dignity. Ideal candidates will have a certificate in care and experience working with the elderly. This position has both full-time and part-time shifts available.

Home: Buckler’s Lodge

Unqualified – £12.88 per hour

Level 2 or equivalent – £13.26 per hour

Level 3 or equivalent – £13.51 per hour

Hours: Full time and Part time hours available

Shifts: 8am to 8pm per shift working every other weekends

As a Care Assistant, you will:

  • Give support and care to the residents whilst maintaining their rights to independence, privacy, dignity and choice
  • Assist with preparing residents for bed and/or assist them in the morning.
  • Assist residents who require help to dress/undress, wash, and bath and use the toilet.
  • Assist residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
  • Assist residents who need help with personal hygiene e.g. incontinence.
  • Promote and adhere to the Greensleeves Care -Workplace values of respect, openness and responsibility.

  • Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in care level 2 or the equivalent (Desirable)
