Shifts: Days shifts - Bank shifts available

The role of a Care Assistant is vital in supporting residents within Orchard homes. We ensure everyone is cared for with dignity, respect, and engagement in their support. You will help residents participate in meaningful activities and receive personalized support.

Main Duties:

  1. Enable residents to remain as independent as possible, providing support such as personal care (washing, dressing, oral care).
  2. Be understanding and patient, encouraging participation in leisure activities suited to individual preferences, and supporting outside appointments and outings.
  3. Make and change beds, tidy rooms, undertake light cleaning, and help keep the home welcoming.
  4. Assist in serving meals and drinks, presenting food attractively, and providing appropriate support during mealtimes.
  5. Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements, including Health & Safety, COSHH, Care Standards Act, and Infection Prevention and Control policies.
