The home provides high standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents with diverse needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, undergo a full induction, and receive ongoing training from our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on employing a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care, and all staff are paid the national living wage or above.

We are seeking a kind, caring, and motivated Head of Hospitality to join our team. You will be responsible for organizing the Hospitality Assistants and Care Assistants to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for our residents. Your duties include overseeing dining room preparation, cleanliness, meal service, and ensuring meals are served timely, presentable, and correctly. This role involves leading a team of Hospitality Assistants, managing rotas, training, and supervision. The position offers a 40-hour contract with an hourly rate of £12.44. Shift times are 08:00-19:00, with alternate weekend working.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Ensure high standards of hospitality service are maintained.
  • Support and assist visitors.
  • Inform the Chef of any specific resident requirements.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and procedures in accordance with HACCP standards.
  • Ensure all training provided is adhered to.
  • Accurately complete records and reports, including cleaning schedules, work sheets, fridge temperatures, and HACCP paperwork.
  • Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the hospitality team to ensure quality service during shifts.
  • Coach staff and participate in their ongoing development.
  • Promote safeguarding and the welfare of adults in contact with the post holder.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Experience as a Dining or Restaurant Supervisor is essential.
  • Previous experience in a care setting is desirable.
  • Effective communication skills are essential.
  • Participation in activities organized in the Home is required.
