Our stunning care home, Ashlands Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility in Sale, South Manchester. The home is registered to provide care to 57 residents with various needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We uphold the New Care vision of delivering the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care. Rated GOOD by CQC in all domains, we invest in the latest technology and offer daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. Our team members are selected for their warmth and passion, with comprehensive induction and ongoing training from our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on employing a permanent staff team, maintaining zero agency usage for over four years, ensuring continuity of care from familiar staff. All staff are paid at least the national living wage.

We are seeking kind, caring, and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team. You will provide quality care to residents according to Care Plans, contributing to the smooth operation of the care home. We offer full-time and 0-hour BANK contracts at an hourly rate of £11.50. Shift times are 07:45-20:00, with alternate weekends.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Deliver personalized, hands-on care to residents.
2. Support residents in maintaining a good quality of life.
3. Model best practices in care delivery.
4. Assist residents with their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs as per care plans.
5. Contribute to daily resident records.
6. Work effectively within a team and complete delegated tasks efficiently.
7. Promote and safeguard the welfare of residents and adults in contact with the post holder.

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Experience as a Care Assistant is preferred.
2. Care certificate or equivalent, or willingness to achieve within 12 months.
3. Good knowledge of care practices for older people.
4. Understanding of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/nursing settings.
5. Ability to work well in a team.
6. Self-motivated and confident.
