£12.21 - £12.46 per hour

Day shifts. Part-time and Full-time shifts available. 22hrs – 44hrs per week

The role of a Care Assistant is vital in supporting residents within Orchard homes. You will ensure everyone is cared for with dignity and respect, and engaged in their support plans. You will help facilitate meaningful activities and provide the best support tailored to each individual’s needs.

Main Duties:

• Support residents to remain as independent as possible, including personal care such as washing, dressing, and oral hygiene.
• Be understanding and patient, encouraging participation in leisure activities suited to individual preferences, and supporting outside appointments and outings.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming environment by making beds, tidying rooms, and undertaking light cleaning duties.
• Assist in serving meals and drinks, ensuring presentation is attractive and providing appropriate support during mealtimes.
• Understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements relevant to the role, including Health & Safety, COSHH, Care Standards Act, and Infection Prevention and Control policies.
