We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to join our team at our care home in Felpham, Bognor Regis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, ensuring their individual needs are met with dignity and respect. As a Night Care Assistant at our care home in Felpham, you will be an essential part of a dedicated team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to our residents.
Working Hours:
Three or four 12-hour shifts per week. Hours are from 20:00 to 08:00.
PAY RATES
- Care Practitioner studying or with an NVQ Level Three (Medications Trained and Administering) Pay Rate: £13.23 per hour on weekdays, £14.23 on weekends, and £15.23 for overtime.
- Care Practitioner studying or with an NVQ Level Two (Medications Trained and Administering) Pay Rate: £13.13 per hour on weekdays, £14.13 on weekends, and £15.13 for overtime.
- Care Practitioner with more than 18 months experience (Medications Trained and Administering) Pay Rate: £13.02 per hour on weekdays, £14.02 on weekends, and £15.02 for overtime.
- Care Practitioner with less than 18 months experience (Medications Trained and Administering) Pay Rate: £12.92 per hour on weekdays, £13.92 on weekends, and £14.92 for overtime.
- New to Care (Non-Medication Administering) Pay Rate: £12.81 per hour on weekdays, £13.81 on weekends, and £14.81 for overtime.
Resident Care:
- Assist in providing direct care to residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.
- Support residents in participating in daily living activities, following their individual care plans.
- Help residents express their personal needs, and respond effectively, especially when communication barriers exist.
Activity Support:
- Facilitate and engage in social and recreational activities with residents to enhance their quality of life.
- Accompany residents on outings, providing necessary care and support.
Care Planning and Documentation:
- Follow detailed care plans and complete required documentation accurately and timely.
- Act as a key worker for specific residents as assigned by the line manager, offering personalised care.
- Foster effective communication within the care team to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
- Participate in handover meetings, care plan updates, and other communication channels to stay informed.
Response and Safety:
- Respond promptly and efficiently to resident calls for assistance.
- Maintain care and cleanliness of equipment, ensuring it is safe for use.
- Be aware of and follow the Emergency Plan and Emergency Procedures, including fire safety protocols.
Training and Development:
- Complete all mandatory training and participate in ongoing professional development as required by the organisation.
- Stay up to date with the latest care practices and organisational policies.
Confidentiality and Compliance:
- Uphold the confidentiality of resident information and the organisation’s operations.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, ensuring professionalism and adherence to care standards.
