Our 80-bed home provides a wide range of services, including care for older people, dementia support, and specialised assistance for individuals with physical disabilities and mental health conditions.

The Role

You will pride yourself on providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, fostering a welcoming environment where residents are treated with respect and dignity, and staff feel valued and supported. As part of our frontline team, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the Home, assisting with activities of daily living ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of residents. As a Care Assistant, you will also provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting a sense of compassion; an advocacy for the rights and preferences of our residents.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, helping them maintain a good quality of life.
  • Help residents maintain independence where possible, encouraging involvement in activities.
  • Assist with moving and handling residents using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Support the nursing and healthcare team by monitoring residents\' well-being and reporting any changes in their health or behaviour.
  • Follow care plans tailored to individual residents\' needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and homely environment for residents.

Desired Criteria
  • Educated to QCF/ NVQ Level 2 is desirable, but not essential.
  • Previous experience in Health and Social Care preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided.
