Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant for Acorn Lodge Care Home in Nuneaton. You will deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to a supportive care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.

Full induction and training are provided, with DBS disclosure cost covered by Avery. You will embody caring, respectful values and be flexible to cover a range of responsibilities as required, while supporting residents with dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and others in the home.
• Efficient worker who can follow reasonable instructions from team members.
• Adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents in all personal hygiene care to ensure independence, dignity and respect at all times.
• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents (weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infection) and elevating identified risks promptly.
• Practising safe systems of work across the range of task.
