Companion/ Personal Assistant Required
We are seeking a companion/ personal assistant for a 63-year-old female with FrontoTemporal Dementia and subsequently Primary Progressive Aphasia. The individual is still independent and can participate in many activities but needs additional support to stay active.
Key Interests Include:
We are looking for an outgoing, friendly companion who shares these interests and can plan activities and accompany the individual during the week. The person is calm and happy.
Patience and a calm demeanor are essential. Due to primary progressive aphasia, comprehensive verbal communication may be challenging, but understanding is usually clear, and expressive responses may be unclear.
The ideal candidate may also assist with household tasks such as admin, food shopping, and ironing.
Note: FrontoTemporal Dementia in younger adults presents different symptoms from typical dementia in the elderly. There is no history of frustration, anger, or violence.

Own personal car
Time: Mon - Sun, various shifts
Hours per week: 10.0
Pay/hr: £12.50
