Job summary

Barchester Healthcare Homes Limited is seeking a Care Assistant in our Swansea area home to support residents with daily living, meals and companionship, following care plans and delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

The role is full-time, 36 hours, with day shifts from 8:00 to 20:00. You will receive full training and ongoing development, plus our rewards package and employee recognition schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for older people is preferred.
• Excellent communication and listening skills are essential.
• Empathy and warmth should come naturally in this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care.
• Follow individual care plans to ensure safety and well-being.
• Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities.
• Support residents with meals and hydration as required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll help residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve. As a Care Assistant, you could be doing anything from supporting residents with their food and drink and following care plans to ensuring that each of our residents has one-to-one time.
