Job Description:

Providing Quality Care

Bluebird Care started as a small family business in 2004, and today we are proud to be one of the largest providers of home care services across the UK. But what makes us different?

We’re committed to keeping people in the comfort of their own home, so we help with anything from everyday tasks around our customers’ homes through to complex care needs. We appreciate that every customer is different, and this is why every day will be different.

We are recognised as a Top 20 Home Care provider by homecare.co.uk and for that reason, we pride ourselves on selecting the very best Care Assistants. If you are passionate about providing the very best care, then this role could be the role for you.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Providing support with personal care needs
  • Providing support with nutrition and hydration needs
  • Providing support with medication
  • Providing support with manual handling transfers
  • Providing invaluable companionship

Experience and Suitability:

It’s not about previous experience. We want to ensure our customer receives the very best care, and to do that, we need people who are naturally compassionate, caring, and patient. We want a team who genuinely cares for each of our customers as if it was their own family.

We provide a detailed induction training programme to all our staff, in addition to shadowing, to ensure all our staff are not only competent but confident in what they do. You will have a dedicated mentor that will provide ongoing support throughout your probation period.

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Access to a car
  • The Right to Work in the UK
  • Excellent level of English (both spoken and written)
  • Patience and understanding
  • A warm friendly smile

Working Patterns:

We understand that every member of our team has their own family to care for and a life outside of work. This is why we offer the flexibility of either full-time or part-time hours. Our dedicated Care Coordinator will support you to ensure you have a working pattern that suits YOU! Please note that alternate weekend working is essential to the role.

Benefits of working for Bluebird Care:

While many other care providers only pay for the time you spend with the customer, we also pay for the time it takes you to travel from one customer to the next, in addition to your hourly rate and mileage.

We can’t care for our customers if we don’t take care of our team. To make this possible, we offer:

  • An excellent rate of pay
  • Paid travel time
  • Paid mileage
  • Option of a set 2-week rolling rota
  • Contracted hours
  • Ongoing training and support
  • Specialist training
  • Fully funded Level 2 & Level 3 Diplomas
  • Free DBS
  • Dedicated mentor
  • Access to a staff support group
  • Employee of the Month bonus
  • 100% attendance bonus
  • £40 contribution towards annual MOT

But not only that, we take care of our team throughout the year. We’re a family, and we’re here to look after you today, tomorrow, and every other day after that.
