Job summary

Home Instead Gloucester and the Forest of Dean is recruiting Care Assistants to visit the same group of clients in their own homes, delivering companionship, wellbeing support and practical help with daily tasks. You will develop trusted, respectful relationships that promote independence and dignity for older adults.

In this role you will typically make hour-long visits, receive full induction training, mileage reimbursement and a supportive office team.

Qualifications

• No specific qualifications or previous care experience required; full induction and training provided.

Responsibilities

• Companionship and wellbeing support such as chatting and encouraging activities around the home.
• Aid with everyday tasks from cooking meals to light housework and meal planning.
• Help clients access the community by accompanying them to shops or appointments; assist with errands and travel arrangements.
• Assistance with personal care and medication support, including reminders and administration as needed.
