Salary: £12 – £15 per hour

Role Overview

We are looking for carers in the Llandrindod and Brecon area to work on a domiciliary round. We have full and part-time options available. Candidates must drive and have access to their own vehicle. They should live in the area or be able to travel there daily.

Service Outline for Home Care Workers

Role: To care for service users in their own homes, respecting their dignity and promoting independence.

  1. General Responsibilities:
  2. Provide assistance with activities of daily living.
  3. Carry out services as specified in the client’s Planned Care Schedule and adhere to agreed timetables.
  4. Provide high standards of personal care and understanding.
  5. Observe and meet the needs of clients, reporting changes or complexities to your Homecare Coordinator or Manager.
  6. Coordinate with relevant healthcare professionals such as GPs and District Nurses when necessary.
  7. Deal with service users and their families professionally.

Enhanced DBS clearance is required.

Experience & Qualifications

Understanding of care provision, suitable references, fully trained.

Skills & Attributes

Excellent communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team; demonstrate empathy and patience; adaptable to change; accurate in completing care documentation.

Physical Abilities & Skills

Willingness to learn to operate hoists and equipment for client transfers.

Additional Requirements

If using your own car, a valid driving license and insurance are mandatory. Walking routes are limited but available. Ability to prepare simple meals is also required.
