We make health happen

At Bupa, we support individuals when they need it most. Our care homes are dedicated to delivering person-centred care, supporting independence, and honoring choices to help our residents live their best lives.

As a Care Assistant, you play a vital role in making a difference to our residents. We value passionate individuals who care deeply, and we invite you to join our family. You'll work with a remarkable team (recently awarded Care Home Provider of the Year at the Leaders in Care Awards 2022), helping people from your community.

You understand that delivering high-quality, personal, and social care is as important as nurturing relationships, providing kindness, and warmth to individuals and colleagues. This ensures our residents feel valued, cared for, and part of the community in the home.

We seek motivated, positive individuals with excellent interpersonal skills. Whether experienced or new to care, we provide support and training to help you develop, including training on our new digital care system, which transforms your work and allows you to focus on resident care. It’s an exciting time to be with us.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Assisting residents with high standards of clinical, social, and emotional care, recognizing and meeting their specific needs
  • Supporting residents with a range of requirements, from companionship to personal care
  • Supporting nurses or senior care assistants in monitoring residents and reporting changes
  • Communicating with residents’ families, friends, and healthcare professionals

Our benefits are designed to support your health and wellbeing. Viva, our global wellbeing program, covers mental, physical, financial, social, and environmental health. We support flexible working and offer family-friendly benefits.

Joining Bupa in this role, you will receive:

  • My Healthcare: Access to support, advice, and treatment, including remote GP, physiotherapy, and mental health support, available 24/7
  • Annual healthcare allowance of approximately £350 to redeem against Bupa healthcare products
  • Free meal on every shift
  • Long service rewards, including extra holidays and monetary bonuses
  • Interest-free annual travel loan for public transport season tickets
  • Access to Wagestream for early wage access
  • Various pension plans
  • Parental leave schemes for adoption, birth, and co-parents
  • Menopause support plan
  • Discounts at gyms and fitness facilities across the UK
