Location: Pewsey, Marlborough, Devizes, Amesbury, Andover, Tidworth & surrounding villages
Salary: £12.63 per hour
Equivalent to:

  • £26,371.44 per annum (based on a 40-hour contract)

  • £13,135.20 per annum (based on a 20-hour contract)

Job Description

About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you'll support older adults in their own homes, helping them maintain independence and dignity. Your duties may include:

  • Personal Care – Support with hygiene, bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility

  • Meal Preparation – Preparing and assisting with meals

  • Medication Support – Helping manage medications

  • Companionship – Offering conversation and emotional support

  • Pet Care – Assisting with feeding and walking pets

  • Social Outings – Supporting clients with appointments and activities

Average Hours Contract Requirements

This is an average hours contract, which means:

  • You must be available to work during peak times – mornings, evenings, or a combination of both

  • Every other weekend working is required. A day off the following week of the weekend you worked will be put into your regular availability.

  • You must own a car and hold a valid UK driving licence

  • You will be required to work across our full service area, which includes Pewsey, Marlborough, Devizes, Andover, Amesbury, Tidworth, and the surrounding villages. However, we will always do our best to allocate care runs that are as close to your home as possible.

  • You must live within 20 miles of the SN9 postcode

  • Can commit to regular working hours including every other weekend

  • Are reliable, professional, and able to work independently

  • Live within a reasonable distance of our Pewsey office (SN9)

  • Have a car and a valid UK driving licence
